Bridge on Đurđevića Tara
Bridge on Tara River is the most precious piece of architecture of the twentieth century on the territory of Montenegro. It is located between the villages of Budečevica and Trešnjica. A large concrete arch bridge was designed by one of the greatest construction specialists in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, eng. Mijat S. Trojanović. It was built between 1938 and 1940.
When completed, it was the highest road bridge made of ferroconcrete in Europe and one of the largest and most beautiful transportation facilities of its kind in the world. It rises above the 150-meter-deep canyon with its strong, five-arch structure, with a main span of 116 meters. The total length of the bridge is 365 meters.
